<p class="wp-block-paragraph">You can never get too many crocheted dishcloths &#8211; they have a tendency to simply disappear. At the same time the dishcloths are a great way to get new crochet methods tested &#8211; when you like me are new to the art of crochet. And don&#8217;t forget that the crocheted dishcloths are a great way to get the yarn basket emptied. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">During a clean out of my craft room I discovered some old craft magazines from the 60&#8217;s. The magazines were full of patterns for crocheted cardigans and shawls. I&#8217;m not in a mood for making cardigans, however, the different crochet methods can easily be used for dishcloths.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The method I used for the grey dish cloth had no name in the old magazine &#8211; so I&#8217;m just calling it &#8216;star pattern&#8217;. The stars are easier to make than they look as all the rows are made the same way. If you are interested in the pattern then please let me know and I will make a DIY.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image"><img decoding="async" width="640" height="619" src="http://kreativetanker.dk/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Hæklet-karklud-e1548452564161.jpg" alt="Dish cloth made out of grey cotton yarn" class="wp-image-2558" srcset="https://kreativetanker.dk/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Hæklet-karklud-e1548452564161.jpg 640w, https://kreativetanker.dk/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Hæklet-karklud-e1548452564161-300x290.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The green dish cloth is made in a mesh pattern which is not the most obvious pattern for a cloth. However, as the yarn is quite thin I think the pattern works fine. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image"><img decoding="async" width="773" height="702" src="http://kreativetanker.dk/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Grøn-hæklet-karklud-e1548452216401.jpg" alt="Dish cloth crocheted in a net pattern" class="wp-image-2556" srcset="https://kreativetanker.dk/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Grøn-hæklet-karklud-e1548452216401.jpg 773w, https://kreativetanker.dk/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Grøn-hæklet-karklud-e1548452216401-300x272.jpg 300w, https://kreativetanker.dk/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Grøn-hæklet-karklud-e1548452216401-768x697.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 773px) 100vw, 773px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Together with the crocheted dishcloths you can see my micro green experiment. The bowls contain basil and kale sown on cotton wool. I&#8217;m surprised how easy it is, all you have to do is to remember to water it every day.</p>
